Uzbekistan on 27th and 28th August 2000.

NOC Nepal conducted a national level wrestling course in Birgunj City of Nepal from 17th November to 1st December 2000. The National level course was participated by 19 Coaches which was supported by FILA Expert from Japan Mr. Takshi Kobayashi.


March 2001: Chairman of OCA Media committee. Mr. Rukma Shumsher Rana with the complete support of the OCA conducted the OCA Media Committee Meeting in Kathmandu. The Media Committee Meeting was participated by 28 Sports Media related journalists, representative of the ISL Marketing Mr. Charles Charter, OCA Representative Mr. Haider Ferman, Member of the OCA Media Committee Mr. Ahmed Solihin of Indonesia. Mr. Ashok Kumar Ghosh of India and Vice President of the Media Committee Mr. Syed Amir Hosseini of Iran. 
The Regional level IOC Olympic Solidarity Course in Taekwondo was successfully conducted in Kathmandu from April 20th to 26th, 1999. Nepal Taekwondo Association and Nepal Olympic Committee under the assistance of the International Olympic Committee jointly organized this Regional Coaches Course. This Coaches Course was participated by 17 Coaches including participants from India. Sri Lanka and Pakistan and Nepal. Mr. Park Jung II of South Korea conducted the weeklong course.


Taekwondo is gaining popularity in this South Asian region. Bhutan, Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka and Pakistan had shown a strong enthusiasm in this sport in response to the initiation of Nepal. Two Indian Taekwondo Coaches and one each from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka had come to attend this Course. Due to unavoidable situation Bhutan could not send its Taekwondo Coach. Rest of the thirteen Coaches were Nepalese. This course greatly benefited the whole region as it was conducted just prior to the 8th South Asian Federation Games. Expert Park II had extensively trained the Coaches with both practical and theoretical parts with the help of an interpreter. He made each and every coach familiar with the latest improvised techniques, rules and regulation of the games etc. All those coaches who had attended the course all engaged in the extensive training of mass of Taekwondo players.
Member Secretary of the National Sports Council, Mr. Binod Shankar Palikhe, opened this course. He distributed the IOC Olympic Solidarity Course certificates to all the successful participants of the Course. All the media covered the news of the course.
