The Nepal Olympic Committee (NOC) bade farewell to the national wrestling team traveling to New Delhi, India, for a training camp in preparation for the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. The training camp will be held from 17 July to 15 September 2026.
NOC President Mr. Jeevan Ram Shrestha and Secretary General Mr. Rajiv Shrestha wished the team success during a farewell program held at the NOC Building. NOC Secretary Mr. Bhim Singh Gurung and President of the Nepal Wrestling Association Mr. Prakash Kusari were also present.
Addressing the participants, President Mr. Shrestha encouraged the athletes and coaches to stay focused on their training and give their best with the goal of achieving strong performances at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.
The team includes players Suresh Chunara (74kg), Nikhil Raj Patel (86kg), Raj Yadav (125kg), Yadav Kishor Ram (65kg), Sushila Chand (62kg), and Siwangi Dube (57kg). The delegation also includes Coach Rajendra Chand, Manager Khagendra Bahadur Basnet, and Deputy Team Manager Mumtaz Ali.
