Nepal Olympic Committee organized a program to extend a warm welcome to the newly appointed Minister of Youth and Sports, Honorable Biraj Bhakta Shrestha. During the event, General Assembly Members of the NOC, along with Presidents and Secretary Generals of various sports associations, gave their best wishes to Minister Shrestha for a successful tenure.
Honorable Minister Biraj emphasized the necessity of collective efforts across all sectors for the advancement of Nepalese sports. He highlighted the significance of sports as a potent tool for enhancing diplomatic relations on the global stage.
President of NOC, Mr. Jeevan Ram Shrestha, expressed confidence regarding the support that Minister Biraj's tenure would bring to the development of sports in Nepal. He underscored the autonomy of sports associations while emphasizing the importance of adhering to the country's laws.
Mr. Nilendra Raj Shrestha, the General Secretary of NOC, extended a warm welcome to all participants in the program. Additionally, Mr. Bhim Singh Gurung, President of the Nepal Basketball Association, shared his perspective representing national associations, while Mr. Ravi Raj Karnikar, President of the Nepal Equestrian Association, elaborated on the structure of the Olympics.
