Newly Elected President of OCA Sheikh Talal Fahad Al Sabah on 42nd OCA General Assembly

Sheikh Talal Fahad Al Sabah has been elected as the new President of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) during the 42nd OCA General Assembly in Bangkok, Thailand. With his extensive experience in sports administration and dedication to advancing the Olympic movement in Asia, Sheikh Talal is poised to lead the OCA into a successful tenure. The assembly also saw the selection of vice presidents representing different regions of Asia, reinforcing the OCA's commitment to unity and excellence in sports.

  1.  Vice President – East Asia: Timothy Fok Tsun Ting (Hong Kong, China)
  2.  Vice President – Southeast Asia: Dato Seri Chaiyapak Siriwat (Thailand)
  3.  Vice President – Central Asia: Timur Kulibayev (Kazakhstan)
  4.  Vice President – South Asia: Lt Gen Syed Arif Hasan (Pakistan)
  5.  Vice President – West Asia: Dr Thani Al Kuwari (Qatar)

In another exciting development, Harbin, China has been confirmed as the host city for the 2025 Asian Winter Games.  Looking ahead, the OCA announced that the next General Assembly will return to Bangkok, Thailand, in February 2024, coinciding with the 6th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (AIMAG), further solidifying Thailand's position as a prominent sporting hub in the region.

President of NOC Mr. Jeevan Ram Shrestha, Secretary General of NOC Mr. Nilendra Raj Shrestha and Treasurer of NOC Mr. Ratan Kumar Tandon participated in the program representing Nepal.
