President of Nepal Olympic Committee Mr. Jeevan Ram Shrestha bade farewell to the team of young Nepali athletes and coaches who are set to represent Nepal at the upcoming Asian Youth Games, scheduled to be held in Bahrain from October 22-31, 2025.
Mr. Tashi Ghale, Treasurer of NOC will be the Chief de Mission for the games where HQ official will be Indra Malla.
In Judo, athlete Samita Nepali will be accompanied by coach Debaki Maya Shrestha.
The Swimming team includes athletes Atharva Singh and Aarya Maharjan, led by coach Nayana Shakya.
In Badminton, Subin Shrestha will compete under the guidance of coach Tilak Pandey.
Representing Nepal in Muay, athletes Genji Rai and Palishtha Kakshapti will be joined by coach Bhupesh Shakya.
In Golf, athlete Reuben Thapa will take part with coach Dhruba Babu Thapa.
Likewise, in Esports, Kavya Raj Acharya will represent Nepal alongside coach Arun Mishra and Team official Silu Shrestha.
NOC President Shrestha gave his best wishes and said that this is the seed that will grow and help Nepal for future glory in the Asian Games, Olympics.
The participation of these promising athletes reflects Nepal’s growing presence in diverse sports at the continental level.
In the Farewell Vice Presidents Ms. Jyoti Rana, Mr. Chaturananda Rajvaidya, Mr. Gopal Sunder Lal Kakshapati; Secretary General Mr. Rajiv Shrestha; Secretaries Mr. Ram Krishna Shrestha, Mr. Ramesh Shiwakoti and honorary VP Mr. Deepak Harsha Bajracharya were present.
