100-day countdown for the 19th Asian Games, Hangzhou China

The Nepal Olympic Committee and National Sports Council jointly organize a 100-day countdown event for the Hangzhou Asian Games at the International Swimming Complex in Satdobato, Lalitpur. The guest of honor at the program was Youth and Sports Minister Dig Bahadur Limbu.

 

The Secretary General of the Nepal Olympic Committee, Mr. Nilendra Raj Shrestha, and the Member Secretary of the National Sports Council, Mr. Tanklal Ghising, were special guests at the program. The purpose of the event was to celebrate the 100-day countdown to the 19th Asian Games.

The competition is scheduled to start on September 23 and end on October 8, 2023. In addition to Nepal, other participating countries also organized special programs to mark the 100-day countdown. The Vice President of the Nepal Olympic Committee, Mr. Ashok Ratna Bajracharya, played a key role in coordinating this grand program.

Minister Limbu addressed the participants and provided encouragement, emphasizing that despite Nepal being a small country, they can still compete in the games and make their mark.

Secretary General Mr. Shrestha acknowledged the participants' hard work and expressed that the 100-day countdown celebration was a testament to their dedication. He urged them to give their best effort in the upcoming games.

 

Member Secretary Mr. Ghising shared details about the cash prizes that would be awarded to the future winners of the games, highlighting the incentives and rewards awaiting their exceptional performances.

The celebration included a cultural program and a musical performance. There were also special demonstrations of Taekwondo, Swimming, Dance Sports, and Karate. The renowned singer, Mr. Deepak Bajracharya, performed various songs for the participants.

   

The event was attended by more than 200 players from Nepal who will be participating in different sports at the Asian Games. The Nepal Olympic Committee had previously organized a special 100-day countdown program to honor the Beijing Olympics and the Gwanzhou Asian Games.
